Seed Saving Class

Seed saving has been so interesting to learn and hands on learning has been fun. Fall is the perfect time to start saving. Benefits for keeping seeds from your garden:

*The plant's DNA changes and adapts to your climate

*We've even found that it has better germination. 

At the farm, we'll walk the garden to show the different vegetables and plants that we are able to save. We'll head back to the kitchen to have a demonstration on how to save tomato seeds (since those are the trickiest), along with other ways to save seeds and how to store them. You'll go home with an information packet full of tips and detailed descriptions on how to save seeds that grow well in the prairies.  

Thursday, September 26th from 6:30-8:00 pm at the farm.
